Parking Team: Before and after the concert- starting at 5:30pm

Kingdom Center

Some of you have taken the opportunity to serve and worship with the people of the Harbor Church.  This weekend they are celebrating the grand opening of the Kingdom Center, a transitional living center, that our group and others in the community have worked along side of for the past year or so. 

Those of you who have participated in this project, may be interested to know there will be a Grand Opening, this Sunday, at the Kindom Center at 2:00 - 5:00 @ 837 E. Thompson Blvd, Ventura, CA 93001, where they will officially welcome the first resident of the 30 unit facility. 
Praise God.

Help needed TODAY...

A single mom of 5 needs help moving today...she will be packing up all day at 2756 Borchard Rd. in Newbury Park and would greatly appreciate any help!  It's a rough situation and a big opportunity to come together and be the body of Christ.

Haiti Relief Efforts

HAITI RELIEF EFFORTS OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE:

1. WAREHOUSE CLEANUP & ORGANIZATION OF HAITI SUPPLIES STAGING AREA:CANCELLED FRIDAY NIGHT, February 12th (INSTEAD WE WILL WORK ALL DAY SATURDAY)THIS SATURDAY, February 13th 8:00AM-6:00PM. Just show up anytimeCalvary Community Church Warehouse Doors to Far Right of Main Entrance

This is a labor intensive job but very necessary to clean out the Calvary Warehouse to make space for both the storage of Supplies for the Haiti Relief Efforts as well as a staging/sorting area for supplies. Please wear work clothes, closed toed shoes and bring work gloves if you have them.

2. HAITI RUMMAGE SALE:

Kids & Teens from Oaks Christian and Calvary Community Church working together to help the Kids & Teens who were victims of the recent earthquake.

3. GO ON A FUTURE MISSIONS TRIP TO HAITI:

Over the next 12-18 months we plan to coordinate multiple Short Term Mission Trips to work with an Orphanage in Haiti. If you are interested in going on a future trip please email your information and we will connect you with the person who is coordinating those trips.

Action Foundation - VONS Grassroots Fundraiser

We really need your help.  As many of you know, ACTION Foundation helps the less fortunate throughout Ventura County.

At present, VONS Grocery stores do not give a percentage of their customer's purchases to nonprofits like ACTION, just to schools.  HOWEVER, now VONS has given ACTION Foundation a window of opportunity to earn 10% from your purchases!

All that is required of you is this:  Either email your Club Card number, or mail one of your VONS register receipts that is printed out between September 18th and October 9th.  You can either give the receipt to me, or mail it to the following:

That's it!  One quick email; or mailing a receipt (or a very legible copy of your receipt,) an envelope, and a postage stamp!  What could be easier?
Please know that this just doesn't consist of VONS, but their family of companies which include:  Pavilion's, Safeway, Dominick's, Genuardi's, Randalls, Tom Thumb, and CARRS/Safeway.
Our hope and prayer is that you will forward this email to all your friends and family around the country, and encourage them to either email me their Club Card number or mail in one of their receipts.  The potential is thousands of dollars to aid the most hurting people in our community.
